A Four-Year Dream and the Sweetest Surprise at the Knit and Stitch Show
Welcome back to Mariana's Diary! Today I want to share a little moment that has stayed with me all week. Some dreams take a while to come true, and this one took four whole years. I finally made it to the Knit and Stitch Show, and it gave me the sweetest surprise.
A dream four years in the making
For a long time, visiting this show was something I kept on my wish list. This year, that day finally came.
Being there felt like a real dream come true. As someone who spends her days with needle, thread and fabric, being surrounded by so many people who love making things by hand felt like coming home.

The sweetest surprise
What I didn't expect was the best part of all. While I was there, I met people who follow me on Instagram! I still can't quite believe it.
When you share your work online, it can sometimes feel as if you are talking into a little screen. Meeting some of you in person reminded me that there are real, kind, creative people on the other side, and that this community is something very special. Thank you to everyone I met there. You made a long-awaited dream even sweeter.

Why moments like this matter
Running a small handmade business means a lot of quiet hours stitching at home. Moments like this one are a gentle reminder of why I love what I do, and of all the lovely people who share this journey with me.
Watch the reel
I captured a little of the day in a short video. Watch the reel on Instagram, and do tell me: have you ever had a moment like this?
Fancy learning to sew?
If a day surrounded by sewing lovers has inspired you to start making things yourself, I'd love to help you take your first stitches. I run classes for beginners and for those ready for the next step:
Until next time
Thank you for being part of this little corner of the internet. If you'd like something personalised embroidered just for you, please send me a message. I'd love to hear about your idea. And if you met me at the show, or simply want to follow along with what I'm stitching next, come and say hello on Instagram at @marvilembroidery.
With love and thread,
Mariana
