Oops… I Bought Fabric Again! A Little Trip to Fabrics Galore
Welcome back to Mariana's Diary! This week I have a small confession to make, and I have a feeling many of you will understand. I went to Fabrics Galore and… yes, I bought fabric again!
So many beautiful fabrics, so little self-control
You know how it goes. You walk in telling yourself you'll just have a little look, and then you're surrounded by colours and prints and textures, and suddenly your arms are full.
There were so many beautiful fabrics, and I'm afraid my self-control didn't stand much of a chance. If you sew, embroider or make anything by hand, I think you know exactly that feeling.

Tell me I'm not the only one!
I asked this on Instagram too, and I'd love to ask you here: am I the only one who can't resist buying fabric? I suspect there's a whole community of us with a little stash tucked away at home, just waiting for the right idea.
This time, there's a plan
Here's the good news: this time, I actually have a plan for some of these fabrics. I'm not going to give it away just yet, but I'm really looking forward to showing you what they become.
For me, that's one of the loveliest parts of making things by hand. A piece of fabric on the shelf is full of possibilities, and it's such a joy to watch it slowly turn into something special. So stay tuned!

Watch the reel
I filmed a little video of my fabric haul. Watch the reel on Instagram, and do tell me in the comments if you're a fabric lover too.
Turn your own fabric stash into something lovely
If you have a pile of beautiful fabric at home and you'd love to start sewing with it, I'd be so happy to help. Come and learn with me:
Until next time
Thank you for being part of this little sewing corner of mine. If you'd like something personalised embroidered just for you, please send me a message. I'd love to hear about your idea. And if you'd like to see what these new fabrics turn into, come and follow along on Instagram at @marvilembroidery.
With love and thread,
Mariana
